Borgo Petroro
On the hills of the Umbrian countryside, animated by silvery olive groves, come and discover Borgo Petroro, a new Country Relais housed in the castle of the same name, a small distance from the jewel-town of Todi.
It is located in an authentic medieval manor, or more appropriately a fortified hamlet, which had grown strong enough by the end of the 13th century to protect the surrounding area and neighbouring villas, but which was originally founded as a “Castrum” in Ancient Roman times. At the entrance of the manor, on its majestic arched door, a stone eagle, the emblem of the city of Todi, welcomes the patrons.

Our suites
Our suites, some equipped with a spa bath, are all tastefully furnished with unique antiques, wrought-iron lamps, trompe l’oeil paintings and tapestry, recycled wooden furniture, in homage to an all-encompassing made in Italy look.
All the suites overlook the surrounding countryside or the charming internal courtyard, with its characteristic smell of logs that once fed the public baker’s oven, and a stunning boundless horizon. It all makes for an elegant and refined atmosphere, typical of a beautiful Umbrian villa, particularly cherished by Italian and international tourists.

Locanda Petreja, named in honor of the ancient Roman gens Petreja who once lived here, is our restaurant serving refined Umbrian cuisine.
Thanks to the creativity of our Chefs, our menu revises the typical Umbrian dishes with a touch of modernity and Italian traditions. The meal experience is is a true sensory path that goes beyond the taste, and in which all the senses are enriched with visual sensations and “trompe l’oeil” of reconstructed desserts.
